Corporate Biographies
Robert Lee, CEO
Born in Los Angeles and raised in Orange County, Lee's invitation to the world of real estate can only be described as a happy accident. While visiting a friend in Seattle, Lee happened across a for sale sign listing a house for $33,000. Lee couldn't believe the asking price-at first, he thought it was the down payment. Knowing a good deal when he saw one, Lee purchased the house on a simple owner finance and was required to put 10% down, with no credit or income verification. Lee sold the property two years later for a $27,000 profit at the age of 24. He couldn't believe how easy it was.
Since then, Lee's career as a private investor has been as successful as it has been diverse. Having pioneered the inside track of investing in defaulted mortgages, Lee has used his cutting-edge techniques to purchase mortgage portfolios from Aegis, Mortgage Lenders Network, First Indiana Bank, and other well-known lenders. Lee has also bought single defaulted mortgages from PNC, Wells Fargo, GMAC, Ocwen, Dana Capital, and others. Lee evaluates portfolios of defaulted mortgages sent to him by lenders on a daily basis, giving him a constant snapshot of the market's future.
The Foreclosure Trackers website is a testament to Lee's vision and ingenuity. Constantly looking for a better way to achieve his investment goals, Lee's relentless determination ensures that FTI's members will be the beneficiaries of exciting new products, groundbreaking techniques, and detailed property information.
Described by others as an aggressive go-getter who won't take no for an answer, Lee is driven to make FTI a true one-stop foreclosure investment resource. He is most proud of the site's ability to deliver accurate and in-depth information without compromising its user-friendliness.
David Phelps, President
A lifelong resident of Orange County, Phelps began working in the financial sector in 2000. In spite of a rewarding career as a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist, Phelps decided to pursue his interest in real estate by plunging into the industry head first. Phelps almost immediately discovered a new set of talents as a loan officer and licensed real estate agent.
Phelps found that he was most successful in his ability to examine the real estate market as a whole; in doing this, he found that loans were but one of several components affecting the market, and became progressively more interested in foreclosures and defaulted mortgages - it was this passion that culminated in his partnership with Robert Lee, who was also investing in the cutting-edge strategy of note buying. Always in search of a more efficient way to accomplish a task, Phelps was instrumental in compiling the data collected by him and Lee into a single database.
Today, the Foreclosure Trackers website stands as a testament to Phelps' vision of what a real estate website should be: powerful, easy-to-use, and able to stand on its own as a complete resource. Phelps' direction ensures that Foreclosure Trackers is the only website an investor needs to be successful in the foreclosure market. He and Lee continue to further perfect and refine the art of profiting from defaulted mortgages.
Randy Green, VP of Data Acquisition
No stranger to the world of real estate, Randy Green has 27 years of industry experience. Green started off in sales, but made a career switch to data management when he realized that he was far more detail-oriented than his co-workers. The move paid off, and Green has since served as the Director of Business Development for Steele Software Companies and the Director of Data Acquisition for RealtyTrac, Inc.
Green brings his vast knowledge base of data systems and information management to the FTI team, further improving and expanding FTI's growing networks of property information. Green is also responsible for cultivating new relationships with lenders, attorneys, and additional real estate specialists. For Green, the health of any real estate website depends entirely on the quality of its information.
Green is known by others for his warm, outgoing personality and his love of all kinds of music. In addition to being a golf enthusiast, Green is a decorated veteran of the US Army, having earned two Bronze Star Medals, among other commendations, for his service.
Lance Jackson, VP of Business Development
Lance Jackson has been honing his skills as a premier online advertising and marketing expert since 1996, working with all sizes of U. S. companies, from giants like AT&T to small ad agencies and startup businesses. Due in part to his relationship with his father-in-law who owns a local real estate brokerage firm, Jackson took an interest in the lucrative residential real estate market. He spearheaded a project in which he and two partners started their own advertising and marketing agency, which served several of the largest mortgage companies in Southern California.
Recognized for his sharp marketing skills and online advertising prowess, Jackson was recruited by a national online real estate data publisher. Jackson built their advertising division from the ground up, and was able to triple their ad revenue inside of 6 months. In late 2007, Jackson joined Foreclosure Trackers, Inc. as Vice President of Business Development. Here, Jackson brings over 12 years of advertising and marketing experience to the table and is also responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic business relationships.
As the son of a U.S. Air Force Officer, Jackson has seen a good cross section of the United States and spent the early years of his childhood living abroad in countries like the Philippines and Germany before his family settled into Central California where he grew up. He's an avid fisherman, likes to dabble in the culinary arts, and enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
Gerald Trippy, Director of Internet Technology
Having been interested in technology and computers from a young age, Gerald Trippy earned a BS in computer science and quickly found his niche in the field of IT. Trippy currently holds over 20 industry certifications, establishing him as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Cisco Certified Network Administrator, and Certified Ethical Hacker, among other qualifications.
Over the last two decades, Trippy has worked with IBM, Dell, and other companies in senior-level positions to design, implement, and manage small to medium-sized networks. At FTI, Trippy draws from his experience and vast IT knowledge in the design, implementation, and future maintenance of our 5-server, Dell-based Windows 2003 network, making him an irreplaceable component of the Foreclosure Trackers team.
Trippy has taught for various institutions throughout the years and authored his own curriculum. He currently lives in Garden Grove, California.
Arif Kahn, Agent Services Director
Arif Khan has spent the last nine years building on his core "people" skills, settling into an inspired and well-developed Marketing and Sales Director role. Khan earned a degree in Psychology and Sociology at San Jose State University in 2000, where his underlying passion for meaningful communication and amiable human relations emerged. The transition from college grad to marketing and sales professional was a smooth one for Khan as he exploded onto the scene a force to be reckoned with. Khan was integral in the development of presentations and marketing strategies that targeted a Northern California audience for timeshare vacation spots with Trendwest Resorts, the largest timeshare company in California. Trendwest Resorts is now WorldMark by Wyndham-the third largest vacation ownership company in the world. Next, Khan accepted an offer from a then budding Northern California company, AZCA, to direct an automated resume project. AZCA received remarkable returns on its investment as the resume writing program was successfully disseminated to AZCA clientele.
Khan's reputation preceded him, and he was recruited by a growing internet-based data publisher in Southern California. At this exciting new post, in a completely new environment, Khan spearheaded a lead-generation program that netted amazing results. The company's sales quadrupled, majorly due to Khan's skills and tenacity. He received numerous achievement awards and was recognized as a top revenue generator for the company. In early 2008, Khan migrated to the Foreclosure Trackers, Inc. team. Khan brings with him more than eight years of finely tuned marketing skills and valuable enterprise sales experience.
Chris Dufault, VP of Product Development
An expert in the fields of data management and product marketing, Chris Dufault first saw the potential of networked information back in the early 1980s. While crude by today's standards, Dufault's first Commodore Vic 20 allowed him a faster and more comprehensive way of compiling research for his MBA. It was at that moment Dufault realized the utility of making immensely powerful databases easy for the layman to access and use.
Dufault boasts more than 20 years of experience working for several companies at the forefront of the real estate and data industries, including DataQuick Information Systems, ChoicePoint, Experian, and Prentice Hall. At Foreclosure Trackers, Dufault has used his skills in the field of consumer product development to build the core of our nationwide people search services, environmental hazard search, and real estate agent network.
Through his ability to maximize FTI's information resources and forge new connections with data providers, Dufault ensures that the members and users of Foreclosure Trackers will continue to receive groundbreaking and eminently functional products.
Dufault lives in Irvine, California.
